PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic image processor capable of producing ultrasonic images in correspondence to ultrasonic probes of different scanning types. SOLUTION: Connectors 9A and 9B of ultrasonic endoscopes 2A and 2B whose scanning types are different from each other can be detachably connected to connector receivers 11A and 11B respectively which are provided on an ultrasonic observation apparatus 3. The ultrasonic observation device 3 comprises an electronic scanning signal processor unit 32A for driving ultrasonic oscillators 14A and 14B which are respectively integrated into the ultrasonic endoscopes 2A and 2B, and for processing the signals after receiving them, and a mechanical scanning signal processor unit 32B, so that ultrasonic images can be produced by connecting the ultrasonic endoscopes 2A and 2B of different types and an ultrasonic probe 2C.
