A rock net for blocking a falling rock using a wire rope is provided to exclude using the wire rope or minimize the number of the wire rope, as well as maximizing the falling-rock blocking efficiency. A rock net(100) for blocking a falling rock using a wire rope(110), comprises two strands of the wire ropes and a fixing device(120). The fixing device combines the two strands of wire ropes. A lower part of the combined wire ropes are combined again by the fixing device. Upper ends and lower ends of the combined wire ropes are diverged diagonally in opposite directions, while sides of the wire ropes are united. The combined wire ropes are bent within the fixing device so that the wire rope forms a ring shape. The combination of wire ropes are placed parallelly with a gap. The fixing device includes a guide groove(121). A pair of the fixing devices are disposed to direct each other, so that the guide grooves can perform the separation and connection of the wire ropes by the fixing device.
