<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery having a long lifetime and an excellent large current characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: A negative electrode for lithium secondary battery is used in which a gas phase method carbon fiber is dispersed without forming an aggregate of 10 μm or more in a negative electrode active material using a natural graphite or an artificial graphite. The composition used for manufacturing the negative electrode is manufactured either by mixing and agitating, for example, a negative electrode material-contained thickner water solution containing a negative electrode active material, a thickner water solution, and a styrene-butadiene rubber dispersion water as a binder and a composition having a prescribed viscosity in which carbon fiber is dispersed in the thickner, or after mixing the negative electrode active material and the gas-phase method carbon fiber in dry condition, by adding and agitating and mixing a polyvinylidene fluoride. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
