摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical image processing apparatus for compressing a dynamic range of an input image capable of obtaining high-quality and stable images in a noticed area at any time. <P>SOLUTION: The medical image processing apparatus compresses a dynamic range of an input image acquired by photography and has each following component; a region of interest-setting means (ROI analysis circuit 203) for setting the region of interest to the input image based on information of photographed site corresponding to the photography procedure, a characteristic amount extracting means (characteristic amount extracting circuit 204) for extracting the characteristic amount of pixel value composing the input image from the setup interested area, a target output value setting means (target output value setting circuit 205) for setting the target output value corresponding to the characteristic amount for each photography procedure, and a conversion process means (DRC circuit 206) for converting the pixel distribution of the input image into the pixel value for approximating the characteristic amount to the target output value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
