<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a delay in a brake response at the time of emergency braking and shorten the stop distance of a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: A brake chamber 11 is connected in communication with a main air tank 13 through a driving air passage 12 to form a driving air circuit. A relay valve 16 installed in the driving air circuit has a signal pressure chamber connected in communication with the main air tank through a signal air passage 14, and compressed air having pressure complying with the pressure of the compressed air supplied to and exhausted from the signal pressure chamber is supplied and exhausted by the relay valve to/from the brake chamber. A brake valve 18 to supply and exhaust the compressed air having pressure in compliance with the stamp-in amount of a brake pedal 17 to/from the signal pressure chamber is installed in the signal air passage, and a short auxiliary air passage 19 is formed whose one end is connected in communication with the signal air passage in the neighborhood of the brake chamber, and to the other end of the passage 19 an auxiliary air tank 21 is connected in communication. A double check valve 31 is installed in the connection part to the signal air passage of the auxiliary air passage, and a solenoid valve 22 installed in the auxiliary air passage is controlled by a controller 26 on the basis of the sensing output of a stamp-in amount sensor 24. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
