PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber splicing tool for heating and curing an adhesive while optical fibers remain fixed while being used in a narrow working site. SOLUTION: Both the optical fibers 11a and 11b are prevented from raising splicing loss due to mutual slippage during curing of the adhesive with a heating means 14 since a pair of the optical fibers 11a and 11b are positioned on an optical splicing device 30 held at a prescribed position by a holding part 12 to be gripped by optical fiber gripping parts 13a and 13b. In addition, since a heating part 14a and a control circuit part 14b of the heating means 14 are provided separately, the heating part 14a is made compact, the optical splicing device 30 itself is also made compact, and workability is improved in a narrow space.
