<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescent lamp surely preventing scatter of glass fragments to secure high safety when a glass tube of the fluorescent lamp is broken. <P>SOLUTION: The glass tube 2 of the fluorescent lamp 1 is covered by a cylindrical cover 5 for preventing scatter of glass fragments, and holders 6 made of an elastic body are arranged around outer peripheries of metal bases 3 arranged on both sides of the glass tube 2. Outer peripheral faces of both end parts of the cover 5 are fixed to and held on inner peripheral faces of short cylinder-shaped holding parts 6b by an adhesive, and at least one communication hole 7, making an air layer 8 formed between the glass tube 2 and the cover 5 communicate with atmospheric air, is formed on at least one of the holders 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
