<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for a dielectric layer and a green sheet capable of obtaing a PDP (Plasma Display Panel) without any pixel defect, to provide a dielectric-layer-formed substrate having the dielectric layer formed of the green sheet, and to provide a method of manufacturing the substrate. <P>SOLUTION: The composition for the dielectric layer contains thermal decomposable binder, a glass component and a dispersant. The thermally decomposable binder is a polymer having the weight average molecular weight of 20,000-250,000 and -5 to (+40)°C glass transition temperature. In the composition for the dielectric layer, the ratio of the thermally decomposable binder is 10-50 pts.wt. to 100 pts.wt. glass component by solid content. The green sheet is manufactured by drying the composition for the dielectric layer to form a film.
