IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD, IMAGE OUTPUT METHOD, IMAGE PROCESSING SYSTEM, AND IMAGE OUTPUT APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an excellent reproduced image in both a color image output apparatus and a monochrome image output apparatus by using color image data obtained by performing color scanning on an original image.

SOLUTION: Color image processing and monochrome image processing are performed on RGB color image data from an original image read by a three-line CCD sensor, and the processed image data are generated in a color layer 30a and in a monochrome layer 30b of the same image file 30, respectively. In a color image output apparatus, an image is output using a color layer 30a and in a monochrome image output apparatus, an image is output using the monochrome layer 30b.
