BIOLOGICAL DISCRIMINATION DEVICE, AUTHENTICATION DEVICE, AND BIOMETRIC IDENTIFICATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biological discrimination device and an authentication device capable of effectively performing biological discrimination even for a spherical forgery such as a false eye similar to a living eye.

SOLUTION: The biological discrimination device includes an imaging part 2 for imaging a subject eye 31 from a direction oblique to its visual line; an iris detecting part 11 for detecting an elliptic iris image from the image taken by the imaging part 2; and a biological discrimination part 13 for discriminating whether or not the subject is a living eye 31 depending on whether or not an iris image has been detected by the iris detecting part 11.
