PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a liquid crystal device for efficiently removing moisture of an orientation layer. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the liquid crystal device has a process (process S1) for forming the orientation layer on at least one of a first substrate and a second substrate, a process (process S3) for bonding the first substrate and the second substrate via a seal material, a process (process S4) for supplying a dry medium between the first substrate and the second substrate, and a process (process S6) for supplying a liquid crystal between the first substrate and the second substrate by discharging the dry medium.
