PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an axial air gap synchronous machine having a rotor structure suitable for two-rotor one-stator synchronous machine. SOLUTION: An axial air gap synchronous machine is so constructed that rotors 100 and a stator 200 are disposed facing each other with an axial gap of an output shaft 300 in between. The rotors 100 include a disk-shaped ferromagnetic back yoke 120; multiple magnets 110, disposed with an equal angular pitch in the direction of the circumference of the back yoke 120; and a paramagnetic or nonmagnetic front cover 130 bonded to the back yoke 120 so that it covers the multiple magnets 110 and is pressed against the back yoke 120.
