摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool or die material in which a hard film is deposited on a hard alloy for forming high hardness film and also to provide a manufacturing method thereof. SOLUTION: A hard composite material in which the hard film is deposited on the surface of a hard alloy as a base material can be provided. The hard composite material is characterized as follows: the hard alloy is composed of a hard alloy for forming high hardness film in which hard particles of at least one among carbides, nitrides, borides and oxides are bonded by an alloy composed mainly of iron and aluminum; and the hard film is composed of a hard film containing at least one or more elements among carbon, nitrogen, boron and oxygen. A hard member composed of the hard composite material can also be provided. By this method, the new hard composite material in which adhesion between the hard alloy and the hard film, wear resistance and corrosion resistance are improved and also the hard member composed of the hard composite material can be provided.
