PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminated polyester film suitable for an application disliking the existence of foreign matter caused by an oligomer on the surface of a film, for example, a substrate film constituting a release film for protecting an adhesive layer used when a liquid crystal component such as a liquid crystal polarizing plate or a phase difference plate is produced or a substrate film for various optical applications used when a display member such as LCD, PDP, or organic EL is produced. SOLUTION: The laminated polyester film comprises a coating layer which is formed by applying a coating agent containing a metal salt and a crosslinking agent on at least one side of a polyester film stretched in at least one axial direction and drying the coating agent.
