<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflective or transflective liquid crystal display device which has a sufficient antireflection property, and which is excellent in surface scratch resistance and in soil resistance. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device has a liquid crystal cell, an optically anisotropic body, and an emission side polarizer sequentially toward the viewer's side in this order. Concerning the optically anisotropic body, the ratio of its in-plane retardation value measured with 550 nm wavelength light Re(550) to that measured with 450 nm wavelength light Re(450), Re(450)/Re(550), is 1.007 or less. A reflection preventing body is disposed on the emission side polarizer on the opposite side of the optically anisotropic body. The reflection preventing body is equipped with a low refractive index layer composed of a cured film formed of a composition containing hollow particles with 5-2,000 nm particle diameters (A), a siloxane oligomer having a (meth)acryloyl group and a fluoroalkyl group (B), and an acrylate compound having a (meth)acryloyl group (C). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
