PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cradle 100 for a stator bar 100. SOLUTION: The cradle 110 includes a platform having a length extending at least two-thirds the stator bar; a plurality of clamps 112 arranged along the length of the platform; at least one end turn gripper 114 that is arranged on the adjustable arm of the platform, and is positioned at each end turn of the stator bar; and a coupling 118 that is engaged with an elevator device, and is positioned at the center of the platform.
