PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a mobile station determining a radio zone for standby on the basis of an arriving wave coming from a radio base station to enter into a proper radio zone highly accurately and to shift to a standby status. SOLUTION: The mobile station is used in a mobile communication system forming a radio zone and having a plurality of base stations transmitting a priority information for the radio zone. The mobile station is provided with a control means for selecting the radio zone more preferentially using a priority order of the received radio zone than a quality order of a receiving condition.
