PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roof material having good translucent and see-through property and sufficient strength. SOLUTION: In this roof material 10 composed of a metallic plate 12 and fiber reinforced resin 13 covering both faces of the metallic plate 12, a metallic plate having a daylighting hole 11 having opening area of 20 to 2,000 cm<SP>2</SP>and having an opening rate of 20 to 80% is used as this metallic plate 12, both faces of the metallic plate 12 are covered with transparent fiber reinforced resin 13, and transparent fiber reinforced resin 13 is filled into the daylighting hole 11.
