PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the long-term reliability and reliability of a building member to which a vacuum heat-insulating material is applied. SOLUTION: This building member comprises a plurality of core-material groups 11 which are composed of a plurality of decompressed and sealed core materials; the lengths of the sides of the adjacent core-material groups 11 are almost equal to each other; and the vacuum heat-insulating materials 10 aligned with each other are integrated with a foamed heat-insulating material 14. This can bring about the effects of restraining the thermal conductivity of the building member 13 from being decreased with time, of facilitating the foaming of the material 14, and of enabling the long-term reliability to be enhanced by preventing a bag of the material 10 from being broken when the building member 13 and a wood substrate are joined together.
