PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container packaging apparatus capable of constantly and smoothly storing a container in a substantially constant position in a bag, suppressing generation of creases of the packaging bag, consistently packaging the container at a high quality level, and sufficiently ensuring the opening of an opening part to the size of the container. SOLUTION: Since a rear end portion of a packaging bag 11 is fixed by a bag rear end chuck means 16 when a wafer case is inserted into the packaging bag, the degree of freedom in positioning of the packaging bag 11 can be reduced, and the wafer case 12 can be consistently packaged at the high quality level. When the case is inserted, each expansion member 32 is inserted in the packaging bag, and the expansion members are moved in the radial direction of each phase of 90°around substantially the center position of the opening part.
