摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of molding an optical connecting component capable of forming an accurate optical fiber positioning component even when fiber holes are arranged adjacently with a narrow pitch, and to provide the optical connecting component. SOLUTION: Core pins 14a provided on a slide core 14 for forming optical fiber insertion holes 31 are arranged in parallel while they are adjacently close. Since a trapezoid trench 20 provided in upper and lower metal molds 11 and 12 positions, a substantial plurality of the optical fiber insertion holes 31 are formed into one continuous hole to accurately manufacture an optical connector 30 being the positioning component of an optical fiber 32 of the narrow pitch. In addition, when a bottom face 21 of the trapezoid trench 20 is worn by taking-in and out of the core pins 14a, they are polished again and easily exchanged by making the bottom face 21 of the trapezoid trench 20 a nesting structure.
