The device has a pane (2) made of polystyrene and that is adhesive bonded to opposite glass holding flat rod (3) and/or rabbet (4) of a window frame (5) and/or a window door. The pane has a recess (8) or an opening for receiving a spike (7) of a clamping rod (6). A lower side (10) of the pane is self-adhesive coated or is covered with a double-sided adhesive tape (11). The recess of the pane is formed as a blind-hole bore, which is passed into an upper side (9) of the pane over a bevel. The upper and lower sides of the pane are flat and lie parallel to each other.
