EXHAUST EMISSION CONTROL DEVICE OF INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device of an internal combustion engine which achieves improvement of mountability onto a vehicle and enhancement of an NOx purification ratio.

SOLUTION: The device is equipped with a first casing (18) for accommodating a prior stage oxidation catalyst (28) and particulate filter (32), a second casing (20) for accommodating a selective reduction type NOx catalyst (42) and post stage oxidation catalyst (46), and a connection piping (19) which is extended toward the width direction of a vehicle to connect the first and second casings and in which the first and second casings are arranged so as to sandwich a vehicle frame (6) therebetween.
