PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily correct the distortion of an image photographed with a tilt, without requiring contour information of an object. SOLUTION: A digital camera 1 includes a triaxial acceleration sensor 32. A CPU 30 decides the direction of the camera in photographing, based on the direction of gravity detected by the above triaxial acceleration sensor 32, calculates a parameter for performing projection correction on the photographed image in a predetermined direction based on the above camera direction, and corrects the distortion of the photographed image using the parameter.
