PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To specify which transaction has resulted in the occurrence of erroneous calculation (excess and deficiency). SOLUTION: The increasing/decreasing sum of the cash balance sum of a currency reception/payment device 8 and the increasing/decreasing sum of the currency balance sum of a merchandise sales registration data processor 7 connected to the currency reception/payment device 8 are compared for every transaction, and the comparison results are successively stored for each transaction.
