PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the water content of an organic solvent phase inversion/dispersion product of aqueous-based fine particles, by subjecting a dispersion product of aqueous-based fine particles using a hydrophilic polymer as protective colloid to phase inversion/dispersion in an organic solvent, and removing the water or the organic solvent used for the phase inversion from the resulting mixed solution, while keeping the particle diameter and dispersion state of the aqueous-based fine particles. SOLUTION: A method for preparing an organic solvent phase inversion/dispersion product of aqueous-based fine particles is provided which includes mixing a dispersion product of aqueous-based fine particles, by using a hydrophilic polymer as protective colloid with an organic solvent solution of a synthetic polymer, having a functional group capable of forming a hydrogen bond with the hydrophilic polymer, so that the dispersion product of the aqueous-based fine particles is subjected to phase reversal to the organic solvent phase and dispersion in the phase, wherein after subjecting the dispersion product of the aqueous-based fine particles to phase reversal to the organic solvent phase and dispersion in the phase, the solvent brought into the resulting organic solvent phase inversion/dispersion product by the phase reversal of the aqueous-based fine particles to the organic solvent phase is removed by a membrane separation method.
