PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a muffler for a vehicle capable of smoothly leading wind under a floor of the vehicle to the back of the vehicle without using a baffle. SOLUTION: In the muffler for the vehicle having a muffler body 1 formed by forming shells (corresponding to an inner shell 7 and an outer shell 8) by winding a metal plate material in a multiple layer cylinder shape and integrating end plates (corresponding to inner end plates 3a, 3b and outer end plates 4a, 4b) to both end opening edges of the shells, respectively, and arranged to make the longitudinal direction of the muffler body 1 oriented to a vehicle lateral direction, an outer shape of the muffler body 1 is formed in a shape having a sharp tip toward a vehicle front side.
