PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low cost ornamental display device in a game machine providing a highly ornamental effect by allowing a pattern itself to brightly emit a light, facilitating the change in a design pattern, and having a superior handling property. SOLUTION: This ornamental display device 50 provided in the game machine comprises two display plates 55 formed by printing patterns on light guide plates such as acrylic plates with a paint having a light diffusing property, a frame 62 supporting the display plates 55 attachably and detachably, and a light source part (an LED substrate 70) emitting a light to the end faces of the display plates mounted to the frame 62. When the light propagating inside the display plates 55 falls on the patterns, it is diffused so that the patterns emit the light. Thus, the patterns of two display plates can respectively emit the light by desired colors and lighting patterns by controlling the light source part.
