PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a net-raising/lowering apparatus by which a net is lowered and stored without being tangled. SOLUTION: A groove portion 2 is provided with: a raising/lowering machine 4a including a base 11a, a raised/lowered portion 12a, and moving devices 13a1-13a3; pulleys 8a and 8b; and a wire reel 9. A wire 7a having one end connected to the raised/lowered portion 12a and extending downward so as to thread a net 5a, has the other end adapted to be wound around the wire reel 9 through the pulleys 8a and 8b. The net 5a having the upper end connected to the raised/lowered portion 12a is connected at the lower end to the inner peripheral surface 2b of the groove portion 2. The net 5a is provided with six steel chains 6a1-6a6 horizontally extending at vertical intervals. A cover portion 20 is provided to close the groove portion 2. The outer surface of the cover portion 20 is made flush with the ground 1a, when the groove portion 2 is closed by the cover portion 20, and the outer surface of the cover portion has artificial lawn thereon as well as the ground 1a.
