Systems and techniques for a lighting control system include a control switch (100) to control an electrical device (108) are disclosed therein. The control switch (100) includes a master display (124) to display the status information of the electrical device (108). Additionally, a remote control switch (150) couples to the control switch (100) to provide user-initiated commands to the control switch (100) for controlling the electrical device (108). The remote control switch (150) includes a display (168) and receives signals from the control switch (100) to display the same status information of the electrical device (108), which enables a user in a location separate from the electrical device (108) to accurately control the electrical device (108). A second embodiment of the control system may include a unidirectional switch (160) that generates additional control signals that are transmitted to the control switch (100) to control electrical device (108).
