PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soft and flexible hydraulic cylinder capable of being used as a driving source of various apparatuses/devices. SOLUTION: This soft cylinder is composed of an elastic tube obtained by covering the outer periphery of an elastomer tube composed of an elastic material and formed with two supply and discharge openings for supplying and discharging fluid, with a cover cord, and a stage mounted between the supply and discharge openings for disabling the circulation of the fluid in the elastic tube and enabling the sliding of the elastic tube.
