PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for applying an powder adhesive comprising preparing a practically-usable powder adhesive formed of a specific material formulation and applying the powder adhesive practically and specifically. SOLUTION: The method for applying an powder adhesive comprises: preparing 100% by mass of a polyester resin having a softening point of 120°C, 1% by mass of a charge control agent and 3% by mass of a polyethylene wax, then mixing, melt-kneading, cooling, granulating, grinding and classifying them to form a powder particle having an average volume particle diameter of 9μm, mixing 100% by mass of the powder particle with 1% by mass of particulate silica used as an external additive, and sieving the mixture to obtain the powder adhesive; remaining only a developing unit of an image forming unit capable of performing monochrome printing of a printer and removing other units; containing the powder adhesive in the developing unit; and directly transferring the powder adhesive to a paper that is conveyed by a conveyor belt with a developing roller of the developing unit to be fixed by a fixing unit.
