Adjusting an allowance amount of coagulant/flocculant added to a suspension for forming a flocculation for subsequent solids-liquid-separation of the suspension. In a feed-section of the suspension before solids-liquid-separation a relative value is ascertained from a first turbidity value of the suspension, and from a second turbidity value measured after the allowance region, as a control/test variable for adjustment of the allowance amount of the coagulant/flocculant added to the suspension. An independent claim is included for a device for adjusting the allowance quantity of coagulant/flocculant for the suspension.
