Device, especially a bending device, comprises at least one moveable device part (12), an operating device (26) generating a first signal for actuating the device and a second signal for stopping the device, a protection device (18) for monitoring a protection region of the device, and a unit selectively adapting the protection region before actuation of the device. This unit is impinged upon by a third signal from the operating device. Independent claims are also included for: (1) Alternative device comprising a speech input unit for selectively adapting the protection region; and (2) Use of a protection device and an operating device to protect a device, especially a bending device. |
