The device has a management unit (MG) commanding a connecting unit (ML) to establish a telephonic link (L1) between audio communication terminals (T1, T2) and applying a transmission delay to an audio data exchanged through the link (L1), when a multimedia communication establishment request is received. The delay partially compensates a difference of transmission duration between the audio data and a video data. The video data is exchanged by video communication terminals (PC1, PC2) through a multimedia link (L2) established within an asynchronous network. |
