The method involves granting authorization if the authorization data in the user interface (11) of a first reproducing device (1) and authorization data in the user interface (21) of a second reproducing device (2) are in agreement. The agreement between the authorization data in the first and second reproducing devices can be changed in a time-synchronized manner. The first reproducing device has a data memory (13) for storing the authorization data. The authorization data are transmitted from an authorization center (3) through a telecommunications network (8). The attributes during transmission of authorization data from the authorization center to the first reproducing device can be changed dynamically. Reference data are transmitted from the authorization data to the second reproducing device after transmitting the authorization data from the authorization center to the first reproducing device. The authorization data are transmitted from the authorization center to the second reproducing device after transmitting reference data to the second reproducing device.
