<p>Recovering krypton and/or xenon by cryogenic air separation from enriched krypton-xenon-concentrate and krypton-xenon-concentrate distillation means comprises flowing the concentrate over a catalyst bed containing transition metal oxide, preferably titanium dioxide and/or zirconium dioxide and converting halogen compound present in the concentrate. An independent claim is included for a device for the recovery of krypton and/or xenon by cryogenic air separation comprising at least one separation column for the nitrogen-oxygen separation, preferably for drawing krypton-xenon-concentrate, a distillation setup for the production of krypton and/or xenon from krypton-xenon-concentrate, a catalyst bed containing titanium dioxide and/or zirconium dioxide and the krypton-xenon-concentrate are introduced upstream of the distillation setup.</p> |
