The sleeve (6) has an outer surface (16) being frustoconical and an inner surface (18) being cylindrical when the sleeve is in a non-mounted state. The outer surface has an axial groove (26) receiving a top edge and a bottom edge of a printing plate. The axial groove has a width increasing from one of its axial end to another axial end and a cross-section with an under-cut which is in the form of a dovetail. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an assembly of a hub of a rotary press`s cylinder and an adaptation sleeve (2) an assembly mounting method.
