The device has a blade unit having a blade magazine (12) where the blade unit is utilized. Relative to the magazine a push-moveable valve (20) is provided by which the blade unit slides from the blade magazine into a blade opening of blade device (26). The blade unit and the valve are provided with one another for thrust and traction power-transferring coupling. Safety devices are assigned to the magazine which secures the blade unit in the magazine. An independent claim is included for a blade unit.
