The cable section with the eyelet (4) attached to it is provided with a mechanism (6, 7, 11) for attaching the plug at the opposite end of the cable (2) to the eyelet, in order to form a closed loop. This mechanism forms part of and/or is connected to a cable clamp used to hold two sections of the cable together. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) Bicycle fitted with this lock and an arrangement for hanging the lock from it, comprising two or more spaced apart hook parts for holding the lock when it is in a closed loop; and (2) Bicycle pannier provided with this lock hanging arrangement.
