A microwave oven is provided to uniformly spray the microwave emitted through the opening of a waveguide into a cooking chamber by arranging the waveguide in the rear side of the top of the cooking chamber and permitting the opening of the waveguide to be inclined toward the front side of the main body of the oven. A microwave oven comprises a main body(100); a cooking chamber(102) formed in the main body; a door(110) mounted on the main body so as to open/close the cooking chamber; a magnetron(120) arranged on the magnetron so as to generate microwave; a waveguide(130) for guiding microwave generated from the magnetron into the cooking chamber; an opening formed at the waveguide so as to emit microwave; and a stirrer(140) for distributing microwave guided by the waveguide into the cooking chamber through the opening. The opening is inclined toward a front side of the main body. The waveguide comprises a first waveguide connected to the magnetron; and a second waveguide inclinedly connected to an end of the first waveguide toward the front side of the main body.
