COOLING APPARATUS FOR SUPPLYING AIR AND MIST TO WIRE RODS

A cooling apparatus for supplying air and water to a wire rod coil is provided to greatly improve cooling capability of the wire rod coil by supplying ultra-fine water vapor to blowers for cooling the wire rod coil, thereby enabling uniformized ultra-fine water vapor and blown air to contact with the wire rod coil. A cooling apparatus(1) for supplying air and water to a wire rod coil comprises: a roller transfer part(10) for transferring a wire rod(12) that is placed thereon; blowers(30) for blowing pressurized air to the roller transfer part from a lower side of the roller transfer part; a plurality of air induction pipes(40) for transmitting blown air from the blowers toward the roller transfer part; and cooling water supply parts(50) respectively mounted in the middle of the air induction pipes to supply cooling water into the air induction pipes so as to cool the wire rod coil by simultaneously spraying blown air and water onto the wire rod coil, wherein the cooling water supply parts comprise: a plurality of water evaporation parts fixed into the air induction pipes; a level control part(70) having a sensor for supplying water to the water evaporation part and controlling a water level; and a pipe part having a valve(86) formed on a cooling water supply pipe such that the valve automatically opens or closes cooling water supplied to the level control part by the sensor.
