A triazine-based monomer and a composition containing the same are provided to enhance transparency and polymerization efficiency, conversion efficiency in photoreaction, refraction index, hardness and heat resistance, so that it is useful for producing functional optical coating, imaging, display device, optical disc, optical head or holography media. The 1,3,5-triazine type unsaturated compound having at least one amine substituent and at least one S atom in the molecule, represented by the formula(1) is provided, wherein at least one of R^1, R^2 and R^3 is -S-R^4-Ar-X; Ar is a C6-C18 aromatic ring; R^4 is CnH2n, (CH2CH2O)n, (CH2)nCOOCmH2m; n and m are each independently an integer from 1 to 12; and X is acryl group, methacryl group or allyl group. A thermosetting resin composition comprises 80-99.9 wt.% of the triazine-based monomer represented by the formula(1) and 0.01-20 wt.% of an initiating agent. The plastic product is produced by thermosetting the thermosetting composition at 25-150 deg.C, wherein the plastic product is photopolymer film.
