FIELD: ferrous metallurgy, namely supporting apparatuses used at slab continuous casting. ^ SUBSTANCE: roller includes barrel having helical beads on its surface. Said beads have normalized lead angle of helical line relative to vertical line. On outer surface of each turn of bead there are annular turnings inclined relative to lateral surface of helical beads by angle in range 5 - 40°. Depth of said turnings consists 0.3 - 0.7 of bead height; width of turnings consists 0.1 - 0.3 of bead width; pitch of turnings consists of 0.2 - 0.5 of width of bead. Inclination angle of helical line of beads relative to vertical line is in range 8 - 20°; height of beads consist 0.04 -0.1 of their outer diameter; width and pitch of beads consist respectively 0.1 - 0.2 and 0.20 - 0.50 of their outer diameter. ^ EFFECT: improved quality and strength of continuously cast slabs due to necessary heat sink, dense macrostructure, lowered quantity of surface flaws of slabs. ^ 2 cl, 1 ex, 1 tbl, 2 dwg |
