The procedure consists of drilling a blind hole (5) in the wall (4) of the wheel rim (2) and a hole (11) through the module housing (1) and fixing the housing to the rim by a dowel (15) with a radially- deformable anchoring element (19) that grips the walls of the blind hole to prevent extraction, and a threaded end (17) to receive a fixing nut that holds the housing in place. The anchoring element is in the form of a truncated conical collar with radial slits that deforms as it is pushed into the the hole. The assembly sequence consists of first fitting the housing to the threaded end of the dowel and then inserting the anchoring end in the wheel rim hole with the concave side of the collar facing outwards.
