The laminator has a single drum (32) driven by a motor and a set of pressure cylinders positioned around a periphery of the drum. An assembly formed by the drum and the cylinders provides an introduction zone for introducing a document superimposed to a laminate, and a disposal zone for disposing a laminated document. The pressure cylinders have a diameter in the order of 1-3 centimeters and a height equal to the height of the drum.
