<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turning lens type backlight device using a light guide plate with wedge-shaped cross section preventing a light guide plate from slippage, without causing loss of emission line and light to be generated, while aiming at reduction of weight and thickness. <P>SOLUTION: Support parts 121, extending toward the inside, are formed on inner peripheral face of a frame body 12 supporting the light guide plate 11, and back face of the light guide plate 11 on a side having small thickness is held by the support part 121. From the viewpoint of further reducing the weight of the device, it is preferable to form a plurality of support parts 121 on one end of the frame body 12, facing the thin side of the light guide plate 11 at a prescribed interval, and to arrange LEDs 3 between the supporting parts 121; further, the LEDs 3 may be mounted on an FPC 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
