PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability of an operation button guiding method of a remote control transmitter. SOLUTION: When a guide button of the remote control transmitter 21 is depressed, a control unit 14 is changed from a normal mode to a guide mode. When an operation button of the remote control transmitter 21 is depressed in the guide mode, an on-screen signal for explaining a function of the operation button is made to be displayed on a display unit 8 by controlling an OSD generating unit 19 by the control unit 14. The control unit 14 is designed to cut off a power source of an electronic device by controlling a power source circuit 20 to be off when a power button is depressed in a state of displaying the on-screen signal for explaining the function of the power button on the display unit 8.
