PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent instantaneous falling of a suspending cargo when starting hoisting operation with a simple constitution. SOLUTION: This hydraulic hoisting device has a hydraulic motor 18 driving a winch drum 4, a directional control valve 17 driven by the hoisting operation and introducing pressure oil to a hoisting side pipe of the hydraulic motor 18 from a hydraulic source 12, a brake device 22 braking the winch drum 4 at neutral time before starting the hoisting operation, an input means 35a inputting brake reaction FB acting on the brake device 22 by a load of the suspending cargo 7, and hydraulic control means 25 and 50 controlling holding pressure or release pressure so as to release a brake by supplying the release pressure PB to the brake device 22 after supplying predetermined holding pressure Ph to the hoisting side pipe of the hydraulic motor 18 in response to the inputted brake reaction FB.
