PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a patient conveying device having a transporting table that can overhang the right or left side of the device with a large stroke which reduces the burden of lifting up a patient and the burden imposed on the patient while conveying. SOLUTION: The patient conveying device comprises the transporting table 10 which is stretched on the right or left side of the main unit 3 using a transfer mechanism and has an upper winding body 5 and right and left lower winding bodies 8 and 9 disposed below the upper winding body 5, an endless upper sheet 4 which is wound around the upper winding body 5 and is guided to the lower part while passing the space between the right and left lower winding bodies 8 and 9 and whose length is adjustable using a length adjusting device 29, a first brake 39 for fixing the center position of the upper sheet 4 in the length direction within the length adjusting device 29, second and third brakes 40 and 41 for fixing independently the left and right parts of the upper sheet 4 between the length adjusting device 29 and the transporting table 10, and right and left lower sheets 6 and 7 which are wound around the right and left lower winding bodies 8 and 9 respectively and have one ends fixed to the main unit 3 and the other ends wound respectively around the right and left winding devices 37 and 38 arranged on the main unit 3.
